Third soldier dead from yesterday's explosion
in Fallujah. This was reported on our local news (Channel 4, WTAE, Pittsburgh), but I haven't been able to verify it on line. No mention on CNN either. Can anyone find a link?

What's that make total for last week? 35?

1. No Link Yet
And it will make 35 KIA in a week, but don't worry. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage claims that we have momentum.

I guess so. It's hard to stop the flow of body bags to Dover AFB.

2. bookmarking this
I've suspected that the Pentagon is not defining those who die in hostile fire once they've been transported as KIA ...

3. Never mentioned again on Channel 4
They announced the death early this morning but never repeated the story. No mention anywhere else. I can't imagine they'd mention something like that if they didn't have a source.

5. I heard it on Sunday's Today Show news briefs.
Extremely brief news, I might add. They seem more interested in the Malvo trial. (Or the Petersen trial. Or the Rosie trial.)
