1. How long did it take him to say the word "Dean"?
I'm not watching right now.

Bonus question: Was it before or after Bob Schieffer said the word "Dean"? (Who "Deaned" first, in other words, and how fast?)

7. Schieffer brought up Dean in his usual smarmy way.
Typical. They treat Dean as if he's Bush. Wait till their masters tell them to switch to Bush after the primary.

You REALLY think that Zahn, Luntz, et al, will keep up the cheerleading for Dean when he's Bush's opponent?

8. You cannot deny Kerry's fetish
In an hourlong interview on a public radio program in Concord on Wednesday, Mr. Kerry, who two months ago publicly chastised his campaign manager for assailing Dr. Dean, again and again turned questions about his own views into attacks on Dr. Dean, until his host finally politely asked that Senator Kerry use his time to talk about Senator Kerry.

You are a perfect reflection of your chosen candidate.

9. And Kerry attackers this past year are patriots parroting Rove memes
Edited on Sun Nov-09-03 01:42 PM by blm
about Kerry that were generated for the last 30 years?

You are a perfect reflection of your chosen rightwing candidate who would not take a stand against Reagan and Bush on IranContra, the greatest subversion of the consitution of the last century.

10. I'd say my candidate accurately
spoke for me when many other Dems were bending the knee to Bush/Rove.

But I know, I know, Kerry supporters think it would be a much safer bet to run Kerry. Nice and safe right?

Kinda like the yes vote on the "popular war" launched by our "popular wartime President". <snarf>

Yep, ol' Dean said Bush was an asshole and the war was wrong when no other candidates would. He didn't take the "safe" road. I like that.

12. Nope. The Biden-Lugar bill was Dean's "safe" road.
His position is closer to Kerry's than supporters want to admit. In fact, only a handful like ProfessorPlum ever admitted their stande were closer than the media portrays them.

5. I usually do post the list each Saturday night in GD
Sometimes it stays kicked until morning, other times...

But you can usually find it each Sunday morning on one of the past pages in GD.

3. Hopefully he will do better than Edwards did on Meet the Press
I wonder what Kerry's answer would be to the question that Russert asked Edwards, which went like this: "If a lesbian couple goes to Canada and gets legally married there, should their marriage be recognized when they return to their state?"

Edwards's answer was "No!"

4. Another strong performance
Edited on Sun Nov-09-03 10:54 AM by Karmadillo
1. Regarding Dean's decision to forgo public financing, Kerry said he had been prepared to run against Bush's money by noting its special interest origins and explaining its role in keeping the US from having universal health care etc. Said will decide how to respond to Dean's decision soon.

2. Strong on hitting Bush's "good" month on the economy. Said it was a bad month compared to the Clinton years and also noted the hundreds of thousands of people who quit looking for work and aren't reflected in the reported statistics.

3. Noted he's only 5% behind Dean in Iowa.

4. No "attacks" on Dean, but he did point out inconsistencies in Dean's statements regarding public financing and their differences in how to deal with the roll back of the Bush tax cuts.

11. Did Kerry point out the gap in supporters between him and Dean?
The reason Dean can forgo matching funds is becuase of his supporters which outnumber Kerry's by at least 2-to-1.

Oh, and did Kerry say that his donor base is almost maxed out. Kerry and Edwards get the most $1,000 plus donations.

13. Thanks to the corporate media telling people Dean is the liberal antiwar
candidate.

Wonder why they never bothered to scrutinize Dean's 11 year record of governing as a compromising centrist? After 11 months of pushing Dean, you think they would have bothered to notice by now.

14. Kerry was waiting for Dean's move
If Dean opted out, Kerry planned to follow to tap his wife's fortune. He was just unwilling to go first because he would have to take the heat. He waited to follow Dean's lead....to follow Dean's lead....to follow Dean's lead.
