Disbanding the Iraqi Army may have been the plan from the start...
400 thousand soldiers would have out numbered the invasion forces and the threat of a revolt was probably too great. We had the military numbers on our side that way...too bad the plan was a stupid one.

The re-employment of the army will not outnumber the invasion forces while we are still there.

Just my thoughts this morning.

1. Ann Garels author of "Naked in Baghdad" says the USA
backstabbed the army.
The US told the army to quit fighting and they would be taken care of... Now we have 400,000 armed men looking for changes to get back at us.

2. I heard that...we were paying them a monthly stipend...but I cannot
see how we would ever reconstitute the Iraqi army to be larger than the invasion force we have on the ground.

We are scared as it is..let alone an army bigger than ours on the ground would pose too much of a threat.
