Poll question: What will be the status of an Al Gore Presidential Run?
I'm voting for option 3.

1. I think it's unlikely he'll run
Since there may be multiple candidates with delegates, it's possible that one will not have enough to win the nomination outright.

I sincerely doubt that, even in that scenario, gore gets drafted.

14. A shadow President
Is not a good thing to encourage in one's own party. We need to be unified behind the candidates who are in the race; not the ones who aren't.

2. I like Gore, but we have good candidates...
Gore may come back in the future, but he needs to sit this one out and I think he truly knows that....

6. It makes him a more powerful spokesman
since he's not running and can't be accused of "political" ooooo
How about if he replaces Terry McCaulliffe like tomorrow.

Al Gore, head of the DNC
Yes, that sounds brilliant.

8. Now THAT is a Hell of an idea!!
Terry McUseless can NOT be in charge of the 2004 campaign under any circumstances, especially with Dean the likely nominee. I could easily see that dumbfuck condemn all of us to another 4 years of fascism just because HIS boy didn't get the nomination. Fuck Terry, put Big Al in there

...our LEGALLY elected President, he's sitting this one out. We have 9 very qualified people running, of which 3 I have contributed money to their campaigns...

5. I always thought...
...that Gore would pull a Tricky Dick and come back in 2008, but. I just don't see how he lays his head down at night without it gnawing on every corner of his brain, "I can beat him. I can take back what's been stolen from me, and I can kick his ass."

Later.

7. I'm sure he does...
...but Gore is a patriot. Heck, he knows well that we're in the midst of a cultural civil war, and the powder is indeed very dry. I think he's not going to have his ego get in the way of seeing this country put on the right track again.

9. If he has a brain (which I'm sure he does) he'll realize it's way too late
to try a successful run.

11. I voted for 2, just because Americans love a rematch.
I don't really believe it, just thinking of Rocky Balboa.

13. He's the real President and he's not a liar and cheat like
the squatter in the White House. He has real honor and integrity and no one of the nine candidates could hold a candle to him. I want him to run again and walk up to the White House and tell the chimp to get out after the 2004 election! The way people just want to sweep this under the rug is unbelievable. No wonder we've lost all our civil liberties and rights because most people are just willing to look the other way and say some absurd thing like Al Gore shouldn't run. Of course he should run and he will win. Why on earth would we want to take a chance on anyone else when we have the winner already! No wonder the pugs can overwhelm us so easily.
