DU is unique. You have found a way to counter the right-wing flood that was on every media outlet, including the Internet. By your foresight and vision, you were able to create a website without the usual distortion of right-wing gibberish and permitted very ntelligent posters :) the opportunity to provide a useful service to the liberal community, including the Democratic Party. Your clever use of moderators and alerts has kept the site fairly open to honest and open liberal debate. This site is used and read by more political people than you know, including Congressional aides and others. It is a storehouse of knowledge and is an invaluable resource for political strategy.

You MIGHT mention how DU is a great news source and how the folks here posts stories and research days and even months before the rest of the country knows about it.

The best example recently is the articles on AP and even Doonesbury from John Buchanan's story at the new hampshire gazette about Prescott Bush's financing of the Nazis during WWII.

We have been discussing it for over a year at DU and the mainstream media is just waking up to it.

I know you have a great mind but I thought this was a worthy point to make in this context or another.

I'm sixty miles from Oroville and all I can find around the 107.1 fm dial is a wacky rightwing religous station that is talking about people getting to be elected to heaven, or something. Hopefully (well, regretfully, too) their transmitter tower is only temporarily 'down' because of yesterday's storm, which included wild and rare lightning and a couple of funnel clouds.

Skinner, is this a normal FM station or one of those 'very' low power ones? If so, I would like to find a good link for next weeks program.
