Pvt Lynch TV-Movie question |
|
Edited on Sun Nov-09-03 09:19 PM by carrowsboy
Just watching the beginning (and am about to change the channel), but it looks like Baghdad is nothing but an open desert with 2 camels. What about all the homes???
I mean it is the capital, correct?
EDIT
No wonder Lynch is not playing good lil soldier! This is totally making her out to be some scaredy-cat coward afraid of her own shadow.

1. You should have watched 60 Minutes |
|
They showed us who the real hero of that episode was, and it wasn't the photogenic Ms. Lynch. Her finest hour is now, when she's speaking out and debunking the whole stupid story.
Andy Rooney did a fun bit, too, playing the pro and con messages CBS got after last week's rather mild "speech I'd like to hear Bush make."
Not only were the callers who objected typical denizens of the DU hate mailbag, with a bleep every third word, and the supportive callers calm, grammatical and polite, and he had a good "gotcha!" at the end.

2. There isn't any sense in bashing Jessica |
|
She hasn't done a thing to deserve it. It's not her fault the republican led government lies about everything.I'm watching it....it's a heck of a lot better than watching that Elizabeth Smart movie and her crying wimpy candy ass daddy. :puke:

This film is a total character assassination on her. I think the underlying Rove message here is women have no place in the military.
The film has been set up from the beginning as the male servicemen are "very much in control" whereas the women are in perpetual panic (Lynch jumping around constantly, the other woman losing control driving the Hummer, etc).
Then we hear Jessica screaming in the hospital as it flashes back to her reason being the army is to get school money.
These are just my observations...

5. Being a woman myself....... |
|
I can relate to those women being scared.Plus, the fact she is so young makes it even worse. I feel so bad our men and women have to be there.....in a war that was for bush's political gain and for no other reason. That lying pile of shit should be impeached and serve a nice long prison term.....in fact the entire nazi mis-administration should pay for the lives they have cost and the lives that will continue to be lost as long as they are in power.I am outraged they are getting by with so many crimes.....crimes that the rest of us would have to pay and suffer for if it were us. Damn those bastards!!!

6. This movie has nothing to do with Jessica |
|
It's just Crusade propaganda, where Good Iraqis wear western clothes, speak English, and wear gold chains and love America, and bad Iraqis scream Arabic without subtitles and wear traditional dress and shoot Americans, who are a well-intentioned but bumbling bunch without the sense God gave a goat.
The only realistic thing you can pull out of this that has jackshit to do with Jessica is the sense of a little girl alone in the middle of a rich man's war to get richer.
