Boycotts of Hannitys Radio Program
Does anybody know if there is an organization or a website dedicated to boycotting products and services that advertize on Hannitys shows? Or any other conservative talk show host?

To be honest up front, I'm not a big fan of any boycotts. I am doing research on the boycotts against Hollywood that have crept up over the last year, but want to cover both sides of this issue (because naive fool that I am, i think that both Conservatives and Liberals should believe in the principle of free speech).

1. I don't think we should.
Boycotts are good when we want to change the actual policies of a company- their methods of production, their treatment of employees, their impact on the environment-, but when dealing with stupid crap like marketing just to get a show we don't like off the air? I think that makes us little better than Freepers who would do the same.

We should keep our political/media tastes away from useful tools such as boycotting, which we should reserve for changing the actual policies of a business (beyond who they advertise with).

2. Totally agree
This is a distinction I have a hard time making with some though. But a Boycott designed to limit free speech is a different matter from a boycott designed to end unfair labor practices (for example)

...there are plent of left wing shows (no, i'm not joking!!!) that even if you aren't in range of their station, most have netfeeds or are on satellite. A great resource for this is this site (bookmark it!) http://www.zianet.com/insightanalytical/radio.htm I know for a fact that Neil Rogers, Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy, and Lynn Samuels have netfeeds, and Neil, Randi & Mike have show archives, so if they are not live, you still aren't out of luck!

Lu Cifer, wishing Bobbypoo Novak would elope with Bill O'Liely

PS Edit time kids: I forgot to point out that gee, isn't it interesting that there are NO liberals that are nationally syndiated, yet crap shows like Flush, Hammity, O'Liely, Grudge, etc. get tons of stations DESPITE piss poor ratings??? Would somebody PLEASE send out a search party for "the liberal media" cuz I'm worried about her!

7. Two things
1) Boycotting their shows is not the same as boycotting products they sponser. One is saying your not interested in what they have to say, the other is saying they shouldn't be allowed to say it.

2). You were undoubtedly speaking hyperbolically, but there are a lot of other ways to show your disapproval of President Bush besides not watching Football on Fox.
