How bad would the Militaries offenses have to be...
before people would quit in droves?

I just finished War & Peace. One of the questions of the book is why do people follow their leaders? What is the power that moves nations? What gives leaders their authority?

So I was thinking about people in the military and it seems totally legitimate to me if people signed on when they thought our country was honorable and here they are now in a country in a pre-emptive war against a virtually defenseless country. Our leaders still will not consider giving up any power.... Why should they stay?

I think it would be perfectly legitimate for them all to quit.

I think all armies should quit if they find themselves in such circumstances. If you thought you were in it to defend your country and then found out you were there to satisfy someone's insane dream of taking over the world or at least controlling all the resources... Why stay?

At what point does being moral overrule ones career plans?

1. There is no limit, At this point,
bush could roast and eat Muslim babies live on CNN and the next day both Internet and airwaves would ring with lively and heated debate on whether they should have just cut to Aaron Brown smilingly speculating on whether the Texas-bred president would add salsa.
