Select your candidate
I found another one of those match-up tests. Don't know if it has been published here before.

The results surprised me somewhat.

1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (100%)
2. Kucinich, Rep. Dennis, OH - Democrat (66%)
3. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (63%)
4. Socialist Candidate (61%) Click here for info
5. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (55%)
6. Gephardt, Rep. Dick, MO - Democrat (54%)
7. Green Party Candidate (53%)
8. Sharpton, Reverend Al - Democrat (52%)
9. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (51%)
10. Clark, Wesley K., AR - Democrat (49%)
11. Libertarian Candidate (40%)
12. LaRouche, Lyndon H. Jr. - Democrat (38%)
13. Lieberman, Senator Joe, CT - Democrat (33%)
14. Bush, President George W. - Republican (27%)
15. Moseley-Braun, Former Senator Carol, IL - Democrat (23%)
16. Phillips, Howard - Constitution (14%)
17. Hagelin, Dr. John - Natural Law (8%)

- I had expected a closer match to Kucinich
- I never expected Dean to be second. Yikes.
- Or Edwards third for that matter.
- Can't believe Gephardt, Dean and Edwards rank higher than Clark and Kerry
- I rather have Bush than Mosely-Braun???!!!!

Time for some soul searching. There might be a Deany in me yet.

If anybody else wants to give it a shot:

5. That's what I got, or close enough
And it just goes to show what I've said all along: Kucinich's politics are cloer to my own (tho he's got a few I think are silly or undoable), but I don't like the man.

If it were just about policies, we wouldn't need a campaign at all. The candidates could just mail in their policies and we'd vote on those.
