had an reference to Gore's sppech on 'Big Brother' Had a picture of him that was not flattering. Typical. I occasionally take their 'unscientific' polls. The conservative slant of the results is mind-boggling. Are there really that many dimwits?

3. AOL is loaded with wingnuts |
|
I remember when I was with AOL during the '95 elections and as soon as Clinton was re-elected the wingnuts were in all the chat rooms screaming that they were going to impeach him.
I'm with Compuserve now, which is owned by AOL, but apparently run from the janitor's closet. I'm dumping them in February. I only signed up to get a discount on my computer. I'm not impressed with this company at all.

4. I'd drop AOL in a sec.... |
|
but it's too much trouble for a computer nitwit like me. Also I'm having trouble posting links to articles. I was told to swipe the address, and right-click copy and them paste on the place I wanted wot post, but when I click on edit there's nothing to paste. What am I doing wrong. Any simple instructions would be most appreciated. Also, the smilies: I click on the list and click on the smilie I want but nothing happens. Perhaps it's because I can't see the bottom of the window and there's a tab that says 'apply'? Remember I'm very unsure about this 'puter stuff. I can spend money on Ebay and get here and Bushwatch and similar stuff but that's about it. By the way, my ebay links are coming up with a script error window, both on the site itself and on the bookmarks for individual sellers. Recent occurence, but irritating though not preventing me from buying some REALLY NEAT philetelic material.

It is just like opening your browser with no welcome window. Sign up for a free yahoo, excite, or msn porthole personalize it, make it your start page and you get the exact same service.

if you have it, try using Internet Explorer as your browser instead of the AOL browser. After you get signed in just hit the little "-" in the top right corner of the window to minimize the AOL browser. If you have Internet Explorer click on it and use it to browse. That will solve most of your problems on copy/paste and Ebay.

..have the words 'Tear Down This Wall' as the headline on the story about the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, lending credence to the wingnut mythology that a speech by Reagan led to the wall's demise.
