1. It's obvious that you are a green fan
but this one is easy. I don't hate Moore or Nader. Buth have contributed to our lives in very positive ways.

But both Lost Their Minds in 2000. Nader is on record as wanting Bush (the provocateur) over Gore (the anesthetizer). And he duped just enough people into voting for him to get his wish.

NO Nader was not the only reason Gore isn't president. NO Nader isn't the biggest reason, not even in the top three. But YES Nader played a part. Yes Nader is a hypocrite. Yes he did betray liberals.

I'll say it again and again. People who voted Green in 2000 sacrificed their ideals for their idealogy.

Moore is a bit different, and my beef with him is well documented here. He betrayed us too. He talked a good game and turned his back on it. But he's bettre now. I don't think he'll vote green again.

Look, I have an appreciation for the green party. I hope that the green party kicks ass in local elections. In my county, Greens and Dems worked together to get a registered D, but a green friendly woman into the city council. A great G candidate is running in SF.

I firmly believe that Nader running in 2000 will hurt the green party in local elections. He will never be president, so why take money and attention away from the REAL greens, the GOOD ones?

Call it what you want, blind hate, desperation, whatever. Using terms like that only indicates that you don't really want to discuss it. If your goal is to get Bush out of office, you'd better send Nader an email asking him not to run.

OH, and here, light reading:

2. The Michael Moore hatred
is something that I don't understand. He explained exactly what happened in Florida in his book "Stupid White Men". Now if Nadar gets back in the race for 2004, I will move towards serious dislike, not hate, but serious dislike and disdain.

3. The devil you know vs. the one you don't
We know the Republicans are power crazed individuals, knowing this we can predict what they are up to next, and how to react (basically just do the opposite).

Nadar and Moore are power crazed opportunists, they will smile to your face and then stab you in the back. They don't care about the consequences of their actions, if it means making a buck.

Plus Bush has been good to Nadar and Moore, they get to sell books and speak in front of lots of people. 30 pieces of silver goes a long way with this crowd.

Flame On!
