Nader, Moore and the Democratic Party
- It's quite strange indeed that while many Democrats have seemingly forgiven the Bushies* for blatantly stealing an election and turning this country into a Banana Republic...some on the Left can't seem to forgive third parties for the 'crime' of participating in Democracy.

- This type of misdirected anger separates us from those who share many common dreams and goals. It's time we put an end to these destructive vendettas and work together to rid OUR country of the Bush* scourge and restore some semblance of Democracy.

- Let's concentrate on what we have in common and put an end to the type of blind hate we say we despise in the opposition.

6. Bullet proof logic...
...I'm not defending Nader. I AM suggesting that we spend too much energy worrying about him.

- As to Moore...he is out there defending Democratic values. It seems he makes some Democrats mad because he also criticizes the party at times.

- We should be using Moore's 'celebrity' for our cause.

7. Wrong on point #2
Can you understand that Nader is a GOP whore?

Nader is not a GOP whore, unless his entire life prior to the 2000 (s)election was built around a grand deception culminating with his entrance into that (s)election.

Talk about :tinfoilhat: time!

Nader is a Nader whore. He is a self-aggrandizing autocrat, plain and simple. While he may have done some very good things in his life, he has, IMHO, become obsessed with his own cult of personality -- which, in turn, has led him to pursue courses of action that are all about him, him, him.

But to say that he's somehow a GOP plant or whore? Please. You discredit not only yourself with such an outrageous assertion, but every thinking person on this board who doesn't allow their judgement to be consumed by their vitriol for one specific person.

4. I don't hate
either. I have Moore's book. I don't want Bush to win, so I don't want to cede one vote for anyone else except one that has the possibility of removing the repub's from power.

5. OK, I guess I'll lock it instead.
I think it is highly inflammatory to suggest that Democrats on DU have forgiven Bush for stealing the White House.

And it is highly inflammatory to refer to people as harboring "blind hate".

You are welcome to discuss Ralph Nader. But when you start making broad brush statements about groups of people on DU, then you are not in copliance with the GD rules.
