Islamic Militants want to topple the Saudi "Royal" Family?!
No...I can't believe it...What a shocker:eyes:

Why is this article considered a story? Why is Armitage stating the bloody obvious, a story?

http://news.yahoo.com/?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20031110/wl_nm/security_saudi_dc_13

Sorry but all I could think of as I read the Yahoo headline was...Duh! How long has everyone known that? Years? I'm still shocked that they haven'talready been toppled and had their heads used as balls for a game of street soccer.

What was that crap about the "Adults" being in charge?

What brilliant people...

1. And of course blowing up Palestinians during Ramadan
is the most efficient way to topple the Sowds.

2. Well since al-qaeda
is actually Saudi, this certainly announces that a revolution is underway in the kingdom.

I'm sure we'll see more of these internal attacks.

3. The Mighty Wurlitzer yanks people around so often...
...that a restatement of "Here is today's truth" is often necessary, to ensure that the subjects absorb the new propaganda with the appropriate mindset.

For example, the Mighty Wurlitzer has been making angry noises at Saudi Arabia for a while (via one of their back channels -- not officially, of course) in regards for the alleged support for Al Queda by some of the Saudi princes. They want to keep this meme back-channel (ie., Washington Times, certain 'fringe' RW pundits, etc...), because it's really all part of the posturing between US business interests and the Saudi royalty.

So as not to confuse all these unfortunate, simple Americans as to what today's message is, they restate that "Al Queda wants to overthrow Saudi Arabia." That's a pretty open-ended message. It doesn't mean that The Party suddenly supports or doesn't support anything. In fact, it could be preparing the ground for an eventual military intervention in Saudi Arabia, in the name of propping up the Royals against Al Queda. Or it could all be part of heated back-channel negotiations between business interests and the Saudis (or some of them), and all these news headlines are but ripples (and tactical positions) from those hidden negotiations.

The point, Winston, is that we don't know the truth. We CAN'T know the truth from day to day, since it changes too frequently. So the key is to understand that we will NEVER know the truth, Winston. You must always just trust The Party to tell you what you need to know today, and not allow memories of what you thought you knew yesterday to become confusing or contradictory. Yesterday's truth is irrelevant. Only the truth as The Party tells you TODAY is relevant.

Now, about Room 101...

4. The only good thing AlQaeda could possibly do....
Is to topple that rotten corrupt bunch.

Sorry, its the antimonarchist coming out in me again. One less royal family on the planet is a gain for humanity.

6. I don't think anybody would like what they would replace it with...
No sane person should mourn the end of the House of Saud. But it's important that it not be replaced with something that makes the Taliban look like Norway. Humanity will suffer greater if Al-Quada gets its way in Saudi Arabia.
