THE CLINTONS
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/story/135079p-120352c.html

Just as Elizabeth Kolbert could have predicted, the Hillary-Clinton-for-president stories aren't going away anytime soon. Michael Blood of the New York Daily News stirred the pot again this weekend wondering if New York's junior Senator could emerge as the ultimate anti-Dean candidate.

"Sources close to the New York senator and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have made it clear that they think the dovish Dean would be ruinous for the Democratic Party," writes Blood.

And, a Quinnipac University poll has Bush trailing the five leading Democratic candidates and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton in New York.

1. I have no way of knowing, but I doubt
seriously if the Clinton's are anti-Dean. Just more crap

2. Actually, they might be...
The Clintons are DLC and Dean is strongly anti-DLC. That's what theat "Democratic wing of the Democratic party" stuff is about.

That being said, I still don't think that Hillary would tear the party apart just to go after Dean.

3. I don't think she would do it either
and I think the right wing likes to keep this pot boiling all the time.

5. I'm so not DLC, yet I have the same opinion.
I think Dean's libertarianism would destroy the Democratic party (it has nothing to do with being "dovish") if he were nominated, regardless of whether he won or lost.

It would take Democrats so far from FDR at a time when people needed to revisit the battles FDR fought against fascism. It would be a disaster.

to Dean. Dean has the nomination wrapped up, barring any major gaffs. He has too much money, too much grassroots support, and too much momentum given the very short nature of the primary season...

IMO, of course (and, FWIW, I'm not a Dean supporter at all..)

6. Does anyone really think the Clintons would trash Dean's campaign?
No they wouldn't. This just more media BS to hype up Hillary. I hope she tells them to stop it.
