Send them coat hangers!!! (this is not my idea but I like it)

So the partial birth abortion ban passed. Even though it's already been challenged (and challenged hard), I still feel that it is the most serious challenge to choice that we have faced to date.

And I got to thinking. I thought, what if people made their voices heard in a really big way? As in, a large volume of mail? But what would make the point? Letters? Nah.

But... what about... wire coathangers? Sure! That would be affecting enough! What if every woman who voted, and voted pro-choice, sent a wire coathanger to the White House? What if attached to every coathanger there was a note that read: "This hanger represents my vote for the 2004 pro-choice presidential candidate"?

I think it's a fantastic idea. I think we should do it. Come on, guys. If you don't want to send a coat hanger, send a picture of one with the note attached. It doesn't matter - just as long as the idea gets out there, I'll be happy. Think of it! We can wallpaper our towns with flyers advertising the Hanger Revolution! Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors. Tell everyone you know that has even a little bit of an interest in this cause. I want to see this happen.

That is a very good idea! Are you a member of Planned Parenthood? I am a member, and I am going to Washington with them, to march, in April.

Maybe you should send your idea to them. Maybe we could all bring thousand of hangers with us. You should pass your idea on to them, really!
