Clark on MSNBC Now
Edited on Mon Nov-10-03 06:09 PM by Cush
wwith Buchanan & Press

Press; If 3 Generals won't support you, why should the American people?

(Yeah, like 3 generals make up the entire army)

Basically said that two of them don't know what they are talking about, and SHelton let a policy move turn personal

Maybe contact lenses? I had to force myself to blink after going to contacts; I still don't blink as much when I'm wearing them.

because villains always blink their eyes. So says Lou Reed anyway.

I'm a Gep supporter too, by the way, and his stare is even more intense than Clark's.

34. they're coached not to blink. Same for actors
watch film actors and they never blink with the exception of Hugh Grant, who uses blinking to convey befuddlement.

It's one of the most difficult things for film actors to learn.

Politicians can take it a little too far. Remember Ross Perot?

14. He did a good job on saying it too
He didn't outright accuse the president of doing a piss-poor job, but after he was done saying his peace it was obvious that he disapproves of Bush and his policies and thinks that they have betrayed the troops. I also liked how the host directly confronted the issue of Bush not visitng, in his words, "a single one" of the military funerals. I also liked how Clark was saying that, "the troops deserve more than just a canned speech." I can't wait until he debates Bush on live tv, its going to be a slaughter!

And he did it in such a way that he didn't look like he was ducking out of the question too. That and when he was talking about the soldier's deaths he seemed really choked up about it. He looked like he was just barely holding back tears.

12. So General Clark is really
alive and well. I watched CNN Inside Politics for one hour. Clark's name was mentioned once during the whole hour -- and by Bill Schneider.

Then at 5:00, I watched Wolf Blitzer for about 40 minutes (waiting to see what Daschle had to say), and General Clark was mentioned exactly one time. Do you suppose they are under orders not to discuss the good General? Like, put him on Ignore?

18. MSNBC wasn't too shy of doing so
Maybe they are the only TV network that can be trusted. They were the same folks who aired Donahue. That and they took a good amount of time with Clark, and they didn't run him roughshod, he looked and did VERY good. It seemed like he was looking right at me the whole time, not just like he was looking at the camera.

25. yes and no
MSRNC is horrible in many ways, and their slant is far too right-wing for any thinking person.

However, I will give them this - the campaign 'embeds' (their term - I despise it) with the Democrats aren't sneering, taunting SOB's like the campaign coverage on CNN. Most of them are young reporters, they seem to know the campaigns, and the coverage is fair. This is the most glaring fault with CNN - they put RW hags like Crowley on the Democrats, and the coverage is simply so biased anyone with more than a third grade education should be able to see through it.

So, I'll give MSRNC credit where credit is due. I have yet to see one snide report from one of their embeds that Gores the candidate.

I know that Dean is his guy and he fears Clark is the one that can beat him. But I am getting tired of his lie that Clark is fading, when almost all national polls has Clark in first or second. And Clark doing best against Bush.

He also responded to a questioner after the CNN debate, who asked him if he really liked Outkast, or if that was just an ad. Clark responded by saying something to the effect of, "Hey, I can shake it like a Polaroid picture!"

52. Clarks on Music
I saw him speak, wouldn't surprise me if he likes Outkast. Also heard him speak on NH Public Radio. Said he was a big Buddie Holly fan growing up. Definately likes Rock. Said he and his roomate used to play "Satisfaction" by the Stones every day when they were at West Point, it was a regular ritual for them which helped them get through it. Said he likes the Doors also. Clark is in him mid 50's so Rock would come naturally to him. Glad to know he wasn't into Wayne Newton and the Partridge Family lol. He threw the interviewer a curve when he said he alsofollowed Folk music while at West Point, specifically mentioning Peter Paul and Mary. She said something like, "but they were anti war" and Clark replied that a song like "Where have all the flowers gone?" spoke directly to someone facing service in Viet Nam.

Hope is not a plan.

Today on Crossfire, the woman representing Dean against Kerry's representative, said something like well there are other candidates, WES CLARK...she said it real loud.....the pundits just looked at her and kept on talking. I don't think you're supposed to talk about him on CNN. They scared that Bush will give them a trashing if they do. Will start having them investigated by the SEC again.

But Clark is going about his campaign by getting local media attention. He got a lot in the past three days, along with the National mediawhore smears of course.

They talked about Gep, Dean, Kerry in NH an Iowa then said Edwards could then pick up a state (I guess they were afraid to mention the South Carolina where Clark is 7 points ahead of Edwards).
