Harry Reid's Book

<snip>

In The Camp That Didn't Fail, Senator Reid lovingly recounts the colorful history of his hometown--the discovery of the ores that brought about the boom, the growth of the mines and of the town that served them, and the lives of the hardy, stubborn people who not only work the mines but with their families built a town from a dusty mining camp. He also reveals how the railroad and other transportation came to Searchlight, how the availability of water helped the town and its surrounding ranches grow, and the roles played by famous, and infamous, residents--such as the renegade Paiute Queho, Hollywood royalty like Clara Bow and Rex Bell, and aviation pioneer John Macready.

1. Does anyone think that this book might show up on Amazon.com?
Will sales of this book go up as a result of Senator Reid's reading?

3. What a guy!
All proceeds from the sale of this book go to the Searchlight Foundation, a non-profit organization established by Senator Reid to aid the development and maintenance of Searchlight's schools, parks, and cemeteries.

Amazon.com Sales Rank: 474,148 so far.. lets see if it goes up at all.

6. Mr. Reid is my senator!
I hate the fact that Ensign is also "my" senator. On the local city channel, Mr. Reid is always on talking about everything from water conservation to education. He's a great guy.

7. We owe Harry Reid a debt of gratitude!
His yeoman's service to justice is deserving of our acclaim!

I spent over 3 years in Nevada and can't say I enjoyed one minute of it, but that was a while back and today I would be proud to be a Nevadan. I heard some of Reid's efforts on CSPAN and I think we need to join together in applauding him.

Let's write to Senator Reid and thank him for his service! http://www.senate.gov/~reid/

Go, Harry! Go, Dems!

9. here is the email I sent him
I just wanted to thank you for your service today! Your efforts are greatly appreciated by Democrats all across the country. Also, I see your book is selling well on amazon now-- the Republicans will probably try to spin this against you! They may also allege you have stock in McFlurries!

Thank you

Whether they know it or not, Mr. Reid is quite the man in office and he showed why today.

I sent him an email already and will be calling him in the AM.

11. I sent him an e-mail
yesterday. While I was watching him yesterday evening, he said he had received a message on the Floor thanking him for his book and the person had bought it.

Does anyone know what time he stopped talking?
