Dean tops latest news week poll - Clark close second...
Newsweek Poll conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates. Nov. 6-7, 2003. *registered Democrats and independents who lean Democratic nationwide were questioned*

"Now I'm going to name nine Democrats in the race for president. After I read you their names, tell me which ONE you would most like to see nominated as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate in 2004. Here are the choices . . . ."

11/6-7

Howard Dean 16
Wesley Clark 15
Dick Gephardt 9
Joe Lieberman 8
John Kerry 7
Carol Moseley Braun 7
John Edwards 6
Al Sharpton 4
Dennis Kucinich 2
Other (vol.) 1
None (vol.) 4
Don't know 21

*In that same report the Dems are virtually tied in their chances against shrub. Dean/Clark have a slight edge at the top.

I want to learn more about this Don't Know guy's platform.

3. Nobody breaks 20%
That's the real news.

This is still anybody's race.

Except Liebermann.

4. though I like any poll that has Clark
in the top 2, take polls with a grain of salt at this stage.

5. I really am suprised that Clark is holding up as well
as he has considering all the hits he's taking from Bush, his fellow candidates and the left. Fortunately, some people can see through the b.s.

Wes Clark. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary leadership.

9. Relax, people
These national polls are still measuring mostly name recognition. Not entirely (not as much as before), but largely.

10. Carol tied with Kerry!
Very interesting, but I agree with Elorial.... these polls are still early, and it's a very crowded field.

12. Shhhhh!
Clark's name is never to mentioned unless by Shelton. That's the meme...get it?

Clark: All Patriot, No Act.

CNN was talking about the vets running for president...whoops, forgot to mention Clark. Now just why do you think that is? PNAC-Acxion-DLC-MediaWhores is doing a real good job of hyping their #1.

Yes, it is a wonder that Clark has remained at the top when we all have been told that he got in too late. Too late for what? The General Election?

13. National polls are meaningless
at this point the only thing that matters is who leads in IA, NH, and SC. After those 3 we'll have a much narrower field and a MUCH better idea of who the nominee will be
