6. there were other factors
Absentee votes for Coleman still counted after Wellstone died.

Absentee votes for Wellstone were nullified, and the election boards refused to overnight new ballots.

7. We didn't swallow, it was shoved down our throats.
And, Mondale had about 2 days to campaign.

2. Is this for real?
Hell, I'd move to Minnesota tomorrow and work my butt off for Franken if this were true. Sorry, DU Minnesotans...but Norm Coleman is a flaming, opportunistic asshole.

5. I don't want to sound insulting...
It's just so damn sad that this...non-entity...has succeeded one of the most honorable, principled men in the history of the United States Senate. I didn't wans to insult the state of Minnesota itself.

12. LOL
You honestly feel like you need to apologize for describing Senator Sellout to perfection?

Trust us, there's no way in hell you could insult Coleman too much.

4. We still have another 5 years of Coleman.
Even if a Democrat defeats Coleman, it won't be for 5 years.

I wish Senate terms weren't so long. Almost everyone except Senators have to stand for re-election in 2-4.

Anyway, who knows what Franken will be doing in five years. Maybe he'll have such a successful radio show that he won't want to
leave it. Or maybe liberals can't get ratings in talk-radio.

9. Probably been asked before - what are the recall laws in MN?
Five years is far too long to wait.

10. I don't think Senators or Congresscritters can be
recalled at all, since they are counted as Federal elected officials and there is no such thing as a Federal recall. I believe that Senators have to be kicked out by their peers, the way Bob Packwood was.

Not all states have recall, either. In the states that do have it, only state and local officials are subject to recall.

Unless Normie does something that embarrasses or irks his fellow Senators beyond endurance, enough to make them expell him, he's going to be taking up space in Washington till :grr: 2008.
