Freepers said Blanco was steamrolled? Just trying to get the untainted side.

Thanks

1. nope
didn't see the debate, but they both have good platforms. Louisiana can't lose with this election. I'm going for Bobby. Even though he's a republican, he's one of the good ones and a bunch of democrats are supporting him.

how can a one-party political mudhole possibly lose?

But maybe Blanco can build on her record, and make things better. America has already been dominated by the GOP and uncontrolled deficit spending for 20 damned years. Let's give the Democrats and their ideas a real try...not just another token kick in the face!

5. Welcome to DU, Independent429
It's nice to hear that Louisiana has a good Republican. I'm in Illinois and we don't have any that I've heard of. Besides, party loyalty means a lot around here.

3. is he willing
to stand up and denouce the 40 million witch hunt on the Clintons? Is he willing to concede that the hate radio and faux news are unofficial outlets of the thug party?
Is he willing ask that Bush be investigated for his many many lies?

No I didn't think so.

I can't beleive how many people are willing to let rethugs get away without taking any responsibility for anything.

6. Do any of these freeps say where it was televised?
Edited on Mon Nov-10-03 10:46 PM by ronzoNOLA
I thought it was tomorrow or Wednesday. Let me check.

EDIT:

It's televised Wednesday night, and I'm almost certain it is a live event. Do those FR clods ever know what they're talking about?

8. Talked to my aunt in Baton Rouge about Jindal and Blanco
Edited on Mon Nov-10-03 11:09 PM by MojoKrunch
She doesn't particularly like Jindal but she's voting for him because Blanco comes across/seems "stupid".
Her words.

I thought it was funny that she ignored his heritage because he'd converted to Catholicism... an Evangelical brand of it, no less... appeal to the Southern Baptists too!

IMO, he is evil-incarnate in training.
Brilliant, a "minority", part of the good-ole-boy network(LSU grad and I'd bet my last dollar a well-connected Frat Boy) and willing to dirty himself with politics in Louisiana(no discernable scruples).

Don't be surprised if you see him in DC in the next 10 years.

I suspect he'll win by 10 points.
