I have a feeling the freepers are going to boycott Progressive Insurance
I have a feeling that the freepers are going to boycott Progressive Insurace because the Chairman, Peter Lewis, is going to donate 10 million dollars to unseat President Bush.

From what I have heard, Progressive has had the best rates around. Is this true? Just wondering.

Anyhow, in a show of support, I think we should think about changing our insurance policies to Progressive insurance.

It is just a reccomendation.

here is their website:

1. Progressive Insurance
Yes, Progressive has by far the best rates in this area (WI). My mom recently got her car insurance from them after checking rates with other companies. Progressive was by far the best.

3. I've had Progressive for 3 years now.
Knowing they are donating to unseat Bush*, I guess I'll have them for a LONG time!

4. let 'em boycott
I doubt very much that a typical freeper is a desirable car insurance customer. More likely, they're drunk, irrational and given to fits of road-rage. If the freepers boycott Progressive (or any other ins. company) the rates for those who stay will likely improve.

Now if someone starts up "Reaganomics Insurance", that charges them twice as much for minimal coverage, screws them mercilessly when they have to pay out, and greatly rewards its CEO at the expense of the ratepayers, maybe the freepers will switch to it.

"Here's your application for a Reaganomics Insurance Company policy. Please fill in the blanks: A _____ and his _____ are soon _______.
That's it! You're approved!"

5. Most certainly, in Texas
I just renewed my auto insurance with them after switching six months ago.

Had been with Allstate for about ten years prior to that.

They came in about 15% less after extensive comparison.

7. Definitely a reason to look into them.
I'd be willing to pay MORE for insurance knowing it was going to a company that wants to oust him.

8. I thought they lost their collective pickup truck in Washington, D.C.
Don't you need to have physical posession of the truck in order to get it insured?

9. Cool! I'm a customer, already
Fortunately, I can't really rate their service because I've never had a claim. But they seem okay.

Are you sure about the donation? I haven't heard about it.

Ya think the Republian racketeers are trying to stop them from undercutting the industrywide price-gouging scheme?

Their ads are funny, too.

13. they may have good rates
but my autobody guy says they suck to deal with in the event of a claim. They want the body shop to work with used parts, which may not be a bad thing if you have an old car - but I don't want a used bumper going on my brand new (first ever in my life) car.

25. used bumper?
Who cares if the body parts are used?

1 - It is recycling
2 - A used bumper is just as good as a new bumper

The only reason your body shop friend hates it is because used parts can be harder to find.

Instead of 1 phone call, he may have to make 3-4.

16. Sounds great, but...
...the Chairman, Peter Lewis, is going to donate 10 million dollars to unseat President Bush.

This sounds good, but before I throw my support to them, I wish to verify this. Please tell us your source of information.

18. Answering my own question...
Lewis is part of Soros' club of donors to the Democratic Party. I googled his name and saw that he's been active in reforming marijuana laws...he's a regular user! So much for the sterotype of marijuana users as just being "burn-outs!"

The freepers are organizing a boycott against Progressive...

19. Way Cool
I've been a Progressive customer for a while because they offered me at better policy that was several hundred dollars cheaper than my previous coverage. I've never filed a claim, and I only deal with them when I renew my policy, but they're always great.

21. I've had them for about nine months now
Excellent coverage and customer support, and I was saying that before I learned about this. Frankly it just cements me choosing them over and over again.

And, yes, they have fantastic rates.
