Everyone keeping track of the Hardball primaries?
Just wanted everyone to remember key dates.

I'm worried about this upcoming Iowa primary. I think they're really going to lay into Dean on the flag thing. Sharpton even used the words "anti-black agenda". Hello? Dean has an anti-black agenda? Wrong. He has an all inclusive agenda including a bunch of folks the dems have written off. That's just pure naked jealousy but I'm sure the rest will pile on with glee.

1. seriously
I thought what Dean said was awesome, creating a dialog with a subset of the disenfranchised long forgotten by the Dems. Oh, and I don't think african-americans got all pissed off about it. I hope the Dems realize that first off and foremost the prize is a Democratic president. ANd that man is Dean. If they start laying into our only hope they will have done the entire nation's future a disservice.

2. Sharpton and the rest
dropped the ball. They had the chance to say "Ya know what, we think that the southern working poor should be democrats too. It goes against their economic interests to vote republican just because they see the democratic party as the party for minorities. The republicans turned voting into a race issue, when it clearly is in their best interest to vote for democrats. Let's work together to get these people back to the democratic party."

They blew it in an effort to take down Dean. They had a great opportunity to acknowledge that Dean was clumsy but had brought up an urgent point if we are to get Bu$h out of the White House.

I'm finding it harder and harder to see any of them as people of principle (save CMB, she rocked through this whole scene!). They look more and more like people trying to serve their own ends, instead of serving the people.
