Bush Disrespects Veterans
http://blog.clark04.com/

At Clark Headquarters we were watching the Veteran's Day festivities at Arlington National Cemetery on television. The camera gets a shot of George W. Bush. He's got his hand over his heart and is chatting with the guy next to him through the whole thing. It was same kind of whisper you use in church. It was unbelievable. This while the Old Guard that guards the tomb of the unknown soldier is being deployed for the first time since Vietnam. We need a leader who respects the service of men and women in uniform. We need Wes Clark.

1. I really don't think Dub has ANY respect whatsoever...
For ANY of us...and it's clear he considers vets "poor dumb clucks" who couldn't get out of serving in war the way Poppy helped him to do--unfortunately, the way he learned to think from his mother, it's now clear. He's the epitome of a spoiled, rich, arrogant brat! :grr:

And, on top of it, if that's what he did during the parade of vets' groups, he has NO CLASS, either!

Good grief, we need a REAL president again, REALLY BADLY!

B-)

2. I hope somebody makes a videofile of it, like "the nose-pick file"
and posts it across the web.

3. The sanitized corporate media Veteran's Day coverage is appalling
Watching CNN and MSNBC made me angry. They honor veterans with sanitized words and stories--and ignore the realities of how the homeless, disabled, and veterans in need are being forgotten.

They show the words and platitudes of a Pretender in Chief--whose budgetary and personal priorities expose the words as empty and suspect. If we focus on veterans--what better day than today to show some critical coverage. What better day to show the democratic candidates reaching out to veterans and drawing a contrast between how they would honor those who served in contrast to how the Bush/GOP regime has failed them.

These networks show the complete story???
