1. PBS Newshour....
Still does a silent photo of the newly dead, with their names and hometowns, every night when they're released. The night they did the 1st chopper crash (16 pictures) I couldn't watch.
However, I'm glad they aren't letting people forget...

2. How Sad
And I guess they don't have a page big enough to show the faces of all of the Iraqi people who have died.

It's a sad Veteran's Day for so many families.

What wording do you prefer? I must have missed the thread that discussed this.

5. yeah, I got jumped on too...
....for using that word. It's the only noun that describes a helicopter falling from the sky, unless you take a circuitous language path.

Thanks for posting this again. I think it's important to honor the dead by looking at this page.

6. Thanks
"It's not the fall that kills you - it's the sudden stop."

Since I've ridden in plenty of helicopters, I recall that one of the overarching design criteria for a helicopter is it's ability to crash WITHOUT killing the occupants. Of course, this assumes that the pilot can control the helicopter in some manner as it approaches the ground - something that seems to not have occurred with the these two "incidents".

What I'd like to see is a "Star Wars" effort program for RPGs.
