I'm helping out a show...can't say which one...but we are going to interview Kucinich tomorrow. (Nov 12th)

I would ask:

1) As President, Why do you believe that a single-payer healthcare plan would pass Congress?

(I will let DU know what show and the air-time before midnight tonight.)

If there's one misconception about you that you could address with undecided voters, what would it be?

Or...

What do you have to say in response to those who think your Iraq exit strategy is unrealistic?

2. i would ask
How did you get to be such a free-thinker and never smoke the herb, even once?

That's not to say that most free-thinkers smoke herb, but I had him pegged as somebody who experiments - like most progressives.

4. None of my friends believe I never did
They use the same argument. I always answer that free thinkers don't follow the herd, and since the herd smokes it, I didn't.

3. I think I might
address his policy on the military and its use. He is obviously a peaceful person and to me that is important but when I speak to a lot of people, IF they have heard of him, they usually do not know how he feels about defense of our country. I suppose he is loathe to talk about it but it is very important to some who believe he would not send our military out for any reason.

6. I would ask...
What are some of the specific accounts you could give of the media thwarting you getting the Democratic nomination (this could be funny)? AND

Do you think that the fact that the media has branded you unelectable is part of a coordinated campaign which hints at a partnership between the GOP and DNC that the Democratic nominee must not be you?

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, by the way.

7. Abortion and religion
Those are my two biggest concerns with him. His until-recently stance against abortion, and his use of religious imagery in some of his speeches (his Prayer for America, for instance). I've read his statements, but they are just flat words. What really did change his mind on abortion, and how deeply has it been changed, and exactly what does he believe now? And does he believe that freedom of religion means freedom from religion?

Not to be negative. He's a great candidate. But if I've got these questions, I'm sure others have.

19. Read it. Not enough.
I don't know what would be. Maybe hearing his voice as he discussed it, rather than reading a few paragraphs that could have been written by others.

If Lieberman suddenly came out against the Iraq invasion, would we believe him? Would it change our minds?

11. I wish I could think
of a question for you but being thoroughly familiar and absolutely comfortable with his platform and his plans, I can't think of even one. ;)

I think it would be great to get him to talk about the PNAC. That gets so little publicity that most of America knows nothing about it but he is well aware of it and has been for some time. Also ask him to elaborate on why it is totally feasible to cut the Pentagon budget by 15% and still have a strong national defense. I firmly believe he is on the right track with this but I think there are many who don't understand why it can be done.

1) You voted to ban stemcell research, and you also opposed a Democratic bill which would of banned human cloning..while allowing stem cell research. Why did you do this, do you really oppose new cures to cronic illnesses?

2) You have supported IRV, making elections a holiday, "and expansion of elections using full (proportional) representation, which assure more accurate and broader representation than winner-take-all elections." Other than some candidates in the Green Party, no politicians in either major parties have proposed abolishing the Electoral College since the 2000 election. Would you support taking this radical approach, and do you believe the American people will approve of democratically electing future Presidents?

3) Both Dean and Gephardt have said they support a complete repeal of Bush's taxcuts. Do you share this view, why or why not?

4) Both Republicans and Democrats are moving to abolish more and more of the Presidential primaries to "save tax dollars." What would you do to stop this, if anything..on the national level?

5) Funding for the Nunn-Lugar bill has been cut to pay for the war in Iraq. What is your opinion of the Nunn-Lugar bill, and would you increase funding for it?

6) Should it be considered illegal to decrypt one's DVDs or CDs in order to make personal backup copys? Or should this be another violation of copyright law?

17. Dennis Kucinich, are you serious?
Mr. Kucinich, are you seriously suggesting such a radical adgenda in the face of ramapant corporatism? How can such idealism survive in such a corrupt climate.

clearly he is serious.... just the question is likely to get his heart speaking its true fight, and the powerful truths that make him a great candidate.

20. Why the vote against Stem Cell research?
What kind of formula do you use to decide to cast your votes? Is that something that changed in 2002?
