1. I think I would let some investigative reporter |
|
know about the whole thing. Too bad she didn't record the phone call, as the person calling will deny having done anything except tell her hello or something else innocuous. Then I'd get the ACLU involved. If the person incarcerated is a minority or of a non-Christian faith, she could start a discrimination suit, I'd think. If he was convicted of a non-violent crime and they are letting murderers out, then that is more evidence of bias on the part of the DOC.

ayeshahaqqiaq.....as for investigative reporters, she has been on the backs of local reporters for literally months, providing them with the same information that she did the Governor's office. They have no interest, being, we truly believe, that they are just cogs in the wheel of the well known corporate owned media whores.
Her state reps aide made the remark that working for government (SOME branches) here in Illinois is comparable to working with the mafia! Pretty scarey anology, don't you think?
She is not worried about not recording the telephone conversation. The woman who called her is already on record with the Gov's office as totally botching an earlier attempt by my friend, to contact the Lt. Gov's office. This allegation is also supported with hard evidence. Methinks that my bud has hit some nerves.
I will say that I am concerned about her safety to some degree. As we have all seen, people of power who feel that their power and influence is in peril of being diminished react is scarey ways at times. I hope she keeps the spotlight on this for her own safety.:scared:
He is not a minority unless you consider a middle-aged white guy a minority but this DOC is definitely guilty of bias as to who is granted work release/ work camp based on who will snitch and who won't, who the wardens or former wardens took a liking to, and who they didn't, et cetera.
Thanks for responding.

4. Illinois Law School Students. I don't recall which School |
|
They were responsible for exposing the many problems with
wrongful convictions on death row.
Just the first thought that came to mind of an avenue of possible
help.

Or even Eric Zorn.
They both love this kind of stuff, especially Kass.
On edit- Try to call, don't just rely on email.
