LONDON (Reuters) - Business groups are pleading with the authorities not to overdo security during George W. Bush's visit to London next week, fearing the capital could be turned into a ghost town to protect the U.S. president.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators against the war in Iraq are expected to descend on the city. London often sees big demonstrations, but rarely the sort of security measures routinely expected for an American president.

"We are very concerned about the impact of the security measures in central London," said Dan Bridgett, a spokesman for the London Chamber of Commerce.

"As far as we can see, substantial parts of the centre of town will be closed down, and this will deter people from coming to London. It seems likely to hurt retail business

Those were the only air travelers inconvenienced by the haircut. No plane was held up, no air travelers, other than the ones on AirForceOne had any problem at all. By then, it was becoming apparant that the Clintons(neither one) were not going to kiss the press's collective asses, and it that was an intolerable condition.
