Shock and Awe II ?

Bremer has been whining for the last few days that something needs to be done about the security around the "green zone". He has grown accustomed to living in the palace, the former home of Saddam Hussein. He does not sleep well when mortars and rockets are landing all around his bedroom.

"Maybe we can scare them away", says George the Terrific? We'll just drop a few of those 2000 lb bombs in a couple of vacant building closeby and that should at least scare them enough that they will pull back and let you get a good night's sleep, Paul. We don't want you to have to pull out of that palace...we know how much you love it. It makes you feel important...

"OK", says Paul. I will wait a couple of days after we bomb the crap out of them to see if they are still up to their old tricks. If it's not safe, I'm not going back. It's not worth getting my butt shot...
