30 hours on 4 judges fiasco...
Why are they making such a big deal about this?

I think the goal is to cause enough of an uproar to do away with the supermajority clause.

Once they change the procedure to allow for a simple majority,
they will bring on the USSC nominations (though probably not until after Nov. '04)

1. I guess this is supposed to make people support the repugs ...
the only person people care about going for 30 hours is Jerry Lewis on Labor Day.

This is gonna be a political yawn-fest.

3. Not to nitpick but
Lewis can only go for about 6 hours during the entire 21 hour broadcast these days.

it's about much more than the 4 judges.

the pukes will be painting the dems as "obstructionist in a time of WAR"

they are playing the 'patriot' card.

give us 100% of what the WH wants, or you're a traitor.

THAT is the agenda for tonight.

and the DEMS had DAMN WELL better FIGHT the piggies

8. No coincidence
that they're making their stand on these women judges either.

5. Desperation of the repugs..
Certain promises, (ok, well A LOT of promises) were made to A LOT of people in order to get Bush Sr.'s dim sun elected..Time running short for the 2004 election, the sounds of democratic hoofbeats closing in on the dim sun's popularity for 2004, and the poor kids "policy gone wild" throughout the United States and the World, seems to increase the desperate tone amoung the Republican Party.
I simply attribute all this bullying and noise we are hearing as a very good sign. Its a show of desperation, that the big fat ball of yarn held by dim sun's policy makers is unravelling out of control.
Lots of favors still have to be called in before George "bites it".
I shudder to think that in choosing a successor for Bush Sr's presidential legacy, George Jr was the "best and brightest" of all their sons! My Dear Lord Help This World...fast. tks Blaze.

7. If I were Frist, I'd
schedule the filibuster each time there was a primary or especially during the Democratic convention. I'd use it as a distraction and bring it up any time I wanted to change the subject from something else.
