One reason we should not march to war so quickly…… |
|
Something to think about: Under the new Bush administration rules for going to war, other nations (say, France and a post-poodle Britain), would have a perfect right to invade the US to stop the current regime from continuing in their de-stabilization of the world. They could put pictures of Bush and his thugs on a deck of playing cards, and track them down to be captured or murdered, whichever is more convenient. Some Americans would welcome the occupying forces, throwing flowers in their path, toppling the pig farm in Crawford, Texas etc., while Bush regime supporters that resisted the occupation (dead-enders), would be tracked down and killed. All of this would be perfectly legal according to the new rules of international law, as defined by the Bush administration.

2. I said before this started, that if Bush continued to behave this way... |
|
... we might end up with the rest of the world mad enough at us (read "threatened enough by us") where we would find ourselves in a military face-down with former allies and other world powers. And they would be using "The Bush Doctrine" to justify it.
Not just France, but Russia, China, Germany, Great Britain... if other nuclear powers got involved, we could find ourselves in an awful pickle.
