Since "the whole world will be watching", why not read from PNAC??
Edited on Wed Nov-12-03 05:14 PM by SoCalDem
Instead of the dem senators reading from "phone books" (the standard derisive comment), I would suggest to them ,and have via e-mails, that they print out the PNAC manual and some other embarrassing rightwing documents....and just read from them..

We at least know that the press will be watching, and what better way to get those things into the congressional record than to read them during a 30 hour filibuster?)

21. Here's a better link (also I signed the petition at DNC)
I told the DNC (despite the fact that this petition is an obvious effort to just beef up their email lists) to send the Senators this message:
"Don't give them hell. Just have the Filibusterers tell the truth about PNAC (http://www.newamericancentury.org/publicationsreports.htm/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf) and let them THINK that it's hell."

That, but the way, is the full PNAC source document. The Info Clearing House page is just summary article byt the wonderful and invaluable Bernard Weiner.

5. Exactly what needs to be done.
I put up a link about Gore's speech and got the I could not listen to that crap. I explained to the woman that I am sure she had an opinion, but that it was formed from an incredible ignorance. I said that PNAC was central to what was happening with the neo-con rule and asked her to explain what PNAC was to everyone on the board.

I whole heartily agree that the Senators need to read the PNAC article and everyone needs to challenge the lemming's/sheep's position on Bu$h when they do not even know who Leo Strauss and the neo-cons are as revealed by there published works at PNAC.

You are exactly right. I guess at FreeRepublic you would hear "bullseye."

7. They have the attention that they have been craving.. Now USE it.
Instead of reading about rocks & ravbbits & cactus.. Let the press hear about (and ASK about) some really embarrassing stuff..

And there's always the BBV downloadable book.. Ten+ chapters are online..

anyone here have a hotline to any of the ones who will be speaking.. Pryor seems to have 3 or 4 hours to fill :)

9. I think a history of US involvement in Iraq would be nice to hear
Starting in 1980, through the Anne Glaspie meetings with Saddam before the invasion of of Kuwait.

As an added attraction, read the late Congressman Henry Gonzalez's comments from the floor of the House on his investigation into BCCI/Bush/Reagan.

Then..for a sweet dessert, read all of William Rivers Pitt's columns since 9/11.
