Anyone else think Bremer will be Bush's Iraq scapegoat?

Bush blamed the "Mission Accomplished" banner on sailors.

He's never accepted the blame for anything in his life.

I think his excuse will be "Everything in Iraq would have been fine if Bremer hadn't taken so long to get their democracy going."

But Bush really doesn't want democracy in Iraq. Democracy in Iraq would be Islamic and that would sadden Bush's Christian voters. Democracy in Iraq would mean renegotiated contracts and that would sadden Bush's financiers.

So it's all going according to plan and Bremer gets the blame.

1. It is falling apart
faster and harder than they expected it to fall apart

Well truth is they truly expected flowers and candy and
the liberation of Europe, the last good war.

Damn reality is starting to sink to BushCo, I think

2. No
The situation is falling apart but I don't expect Bremer to get blamed. Dimbo is Bremer's cousin and the family that steals together, stays together.

3. All could be scapegoats.
Bush and Rove make it more than possible that anyone who
works with them can be made scapegoats. The BFEE is in control.

4. Since the CIA refused to be his scapegoat, he has to look for
someone else to lay this on. Bremer is as good as anyone else to blame this on.

6. I think Bremer wants OUT
I bet he's hoping to be called home, even if it looks like he is being blamed. Probably begging as we write.
