was just mentioned by Sen Harry Reid--brought up the fact that 60% voted NO with 10,000 respondants before it got pulled. They must have restarted it--because I've voted NO twice.

3. No, Frist just got chumped by his side's own tactics |
|
It's called "turnabout is fair play." A very old concept.
Apparently, though, Frist hated the numbers he was getting on the re-start of his little poll, because now his website is showing a snapshot of a prior result when the "no" vote was at just 62%. Typical Republican: Don't like the poll? Just list the vote as any old thing you want.

11. They were adding the first poll numbers to the new |
|
poll numbers. I interpreted it the same way. If you click on the line that says see recent or other poll results the numbers are different from the current poll.

"BTW, I was on that page several times before it was mentioned on the Senate floor or here and the numbers were never up to 10,000 as the original poster suggested."
There IS a screen shot in another thread in this forum - and the numbers were, indeed up there...
but then Frist's minion's took it down!

12. Tell it all to the Bush family. |

We have a president who wasn't elected, and we're suffering the consequences -- a smash and grab administration! And you want to talk about cigarettes and bus tours.

I just voted a minute ago. Now only the results of 54% to 47% are shown and you can no longer vote. The wing nuts got upset and rigged the system

17. Freepers are cheating, AGAIN |
|
can they do ANYTHING honestly?
quotes:
I think you can vote more than once. I went back after a couple minutes and noticed this.
Bob J, I went in there and freeped, but then it wouldn't let me leave via my back button. So I had to vote two more times, just to get back to FR. Honest. Really.
Tools... Internet Options... Delete Cookies... Okay... Vote...
Freepers- if you can't win fairly, then you are LOSERS! Wake up. Cheating is un-American

Harry Reid already busted them. I doubt they can try to do much with the poll now, regardless how it turns out.

27. Reid comments and Faux News reports ... |
|
http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?i=express&s=crowley111303.... At one point Nevada Democrat Harry Reid noted that when Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist conducted a poll about judicial filibusters on his website, the Democratic position won a 60 percent majority--thanks to some well-coordinated mischief, no doubt--before the posted results mysteriously vanished.
With evident delight, Reid also quoted from a GOP email that Democrats had somehow acquired that day.
It is important to double your efforts to get your boss to S-230 on time. Fox News channel is really excited about the marathon. Britt Hume at 6 would love to open the door to all our 51 Senators walking on to the floor. The producer wants to know, will we walk in exactly at 6:02 when the show starts so we can get it live to open Britt Hume's show? Or, if not, can we give them an exact time for the walk-in start?
Illinois Democrat Richard Durbin then asked Reid, with a funny faux-earnestness, whether "we get updates from time to time how Fox News would like to orchestrate the rest of this?" "Perhaps so," Reid replied with a smile. "If not, maybe we could check with the Federalist Society, which, coincidentally, is starting their convention tomorrow." This was masterful stuff. Later in the night I would overhear one irked Republican staffer mutter to another "How did they get that email?"
