Not only does Estrada -- a partner in a major D.C. law firm -- earn $500,000 a year, but in a really good year it's not uncommon for partners in his firm to earn well over a million dollars a year. And this is the guy the Republicans are worried about?!?

Democrats are for Americans and the business of America. Repuglicans are for the agenda put fourth by Bush, the extreme Right, the Federalist Society, and his PNAC cronies. America be damned.

How many times are they going to repeat Estrada's life story?!? Yes, Senator Hatch, we KNOW he's an immigrant, and we KNOW he speaks broken English, and we KNOW he went to Harvard, but the fact of the matter is that he is an extreme right-winger, a member of the Federalist Society and a close friend of Ann Coulter. And he's not going to be a federal judge. Period.

87. Levin- Imperial presidency
That is why the filibuster is legal. The right of the minority to convince the majority. It's not just majority rule. Debate is most important to doing the right thing. Especially in a democracy.

88. This "marathon" is going to (if it hasn't already) backfire on the Repubs
They are really looking pathetic.

The Dems are talking about the most important issues.

The Dems have concrete indisputable facts.

The Dems show that they have a better working knowledge of the Constitution.

The Dems are more passionate, and a lot more logical.

The Dems have taken this Republican marathon and completely framed the discussion. Look at the Republicans... responding to Democratic statements, using Democratic talking points... they are on the defensive.

89. yes, and notice that Orrid Hatch
chose to IGNORE the facts of prior judicial filibusters and just continue to spew his bitter bitter LIES.

I HATE REPUBLICANS (and republicans HATE you, btw, and that include all the 'little people' who vote for them. kids, if you can't INVEST a grand or two, you're invisible. just keep hating who we tell you to, be AFRAID when we tell you to, and don't let anyone tell you you're IGNORANT because you don't question us.

here's a fresh flag. you know what to do)

Again, Senator Dodd has framed the point of discussion.

But that's nothing new for Allard. He lies about changing his underwear.

111. But when Levin spoke in 2000 about endless debate
The judiciary committee had different rules. These 4 nominees would have never made it out of committee if the committee rules had not been changed.

Filibuster is now the only way to stop placement of radical judges.
