2. Kristal Nacht
Perhaps the worst day in human history.

Do not ever believe, even for one minute, that people did not know what was going on in Hitler's Germany.

Everyone knew.

The Europeans knew, the Americans knew, Charlie Chaplin, The Three Stooges, and Bugs Bunny all knew.

It wasn't that people didn't know, it was that people didn't do anything about it. It took Pearl Harbor to get us into the war.

14. The Buchenwald concentration camp
was among the most infamous in Germany. Here, as elsewhere, the Third Reich's officials kept records on each prisoner, and each prisoner had to go through registration. Most of the Jews sent to Buchenwald were soon shipped out to other camps.

Devices such as the Dehomag D11 tabulating machine permitted the SS to keep track of the huge numbers of prisoners held in concentration camps. Manufactured by the German Hollerith Machine Company, a subsiduary of IBM, this data processing apparatus was state of the art in the 1930s

The camp initially housed political prisoners, but was enlarged in 1938 to take in large numbers of Jews. In the wake of Kristallnacht, more than 10,000 Jews filled the barracks. At war's end in April 1945, more than 47,000 were imprisoned there.

15. IBM used census records in punchcard with address to locate
Jews. And they streamlined the data for the SS.

If anybody doubts that, see http://www.LiberalsLikeChrist.Org/RCscandal , which shows how much Pius XII contributed to Hitler's rise to power and to the Holocaust.

11. See PBS documentary
America and the Holocaust. It came out about the same time Schindler's List was released.

90 minutes.

One of the worst parts: state dept under Breckinridge Lowe (sp) was very WASP and anti-semitic. They sent orders to the US consulate in Lisbon to delay every Jewish request for immigration.

Also compares the delay/denial (?) of admitting 20,000 Jewish children to the US to the immediate acceptance of British children sent to US.

12. And consider that after the war Nazis were clandestinely "recruited"
by the US. War criminals, in some cases, given identities and jobs as Americans involved in national security in the war against godless communism!
Betrayal of the worst sort IMHO.
