1. Rush SHOULD be in jail,
along with all the other drug addicts that he has demanded harsh sentences for.

But he will easily regain his stature among dittoheads. Their tiny minds are so used to cognitive dissonance this will be no problem.

2. they're still in love with bush
despite the evidence of lies, bullying, meanness, stupidity...
need I go on?

They'll fall all over Rush when he makes his triumphant return to the airwaves. :puke:

3. He's Enough of a Hypocrite Already
Rush won't be able to comment on law enforcement issues without being a hypocrite. After all, he's a criminal who is relying on liberal ideas to stay out of jail.

His self-restraint will spill over to other areas as well. He won't stay clean without going to meetings, and the other addicts will remind him to stay humble.

Of course, if he relapses, he's finished.

4. Not only will he retain his status...
...but he'll be even more polerizing and radical than he was before.

He's a showman, a PT Barnum contemporary, he'll use his disease to enrich his wallet and try to regain his standing.

5. I have one question.
Did the police/investigators not go into Rush's home to see what he had? I mean there must have been throusand of pills. Isn't this associated with distribution? If it were you or I, don't you think the they would question the thousands of pills? Oh, yeah, it's not for distribution...sure...

9. Distribution is not logical. Rush has hundred of millions of
dollars, and a fat contracat for the next several years. How much money could he make from minor distribution? It wouldn't be worth his time.

17. Yes it would, if he was dealing to pay for his personal uptake
It has been said that Pigboy was doing over 100 tablets a day.

First, that's impossible--you can't do that much oxycodone and remain alive.

Second, if he was doing that much hillbilly heroin, don't you think Marta would have noticed the giant sucking sound on the checking account? You can slip a coffee in on your wife and she won't notice; try that shit with three thousand oxys a month and it's a different story.

Now! Let's say Pigboy was dealing. He buys a thousand tablets at wholesale, marks 'em up 50 percent, sells two-thirds, and gets loaded for free. Or marks 'em up 100 percent and has a little nest egg set aside in case he has to score some rainy night.

6. Why not?
Is drug addiction a reason to discredit someone? I guess we'll find out a lot on who is where on the drug issue from the ratings.

7. I think he'll get lots of positive attention for awhile.
But if he goes soft on the poeple he picks at, he'll eventually lose some of his listenership, IMO. These people want blood and guts fed to them three hours a day.

I think he won't lose stature among his limbicile followers; they're too forking stupid to stop their hero worship of the lying junkie. Yes, cyst-boy should be in jail where he belongs. Personal responsibility, right, Rusty?

they've already forgotten all about it.

As for should he go to jail? Live by the sword, die by the sword.

11. Rush has been flushed.
My liberal co-worker, who is convinced she is a conservative and votes Republican (she is not a real wingnut, but seems to be the lone liberal in a family of George Bush-loving wingnuts, and doesn't yet know it) were talking about Oxycontin (one of her family members is on it), when another co-worker came in and made a snide remark about Limbaugh. I was surprised when she said, 'Yeah, he's scary', when not two months ago she had been listening to him and Hannity every day. Another co-worker turned her on to audio books and we haven't heard any wingnut stuff coming from her since.

14. Of course he will...DENIAL is a powerful psychological condition...
...especially when shared, reinforced and self-reflected among so many who are so eager to shore up their crumbling world-view.

Unfortunately, I know a bit regarding addiction; and the fact that PigBoy is returning to the airwaves and his previous false-self lifestyle so soon is not a good sign for his recovery. Those who pretend to "snap back" and "get right" and appear to be instant models of recovery are as often as not in for a major relapse.

They're playacting. So is Rush.

He could do such good in his position...a shame to see it all go to hell.

DENIAL.

15. multiple multiple felonies - of course jail time!
Rush will brush this off just as Bill Bennett did with the help of the press. It blows my mind to see pig Bennett still invited on news shows to share his 'profound' views on ethics and spirituality. What the press should really be doing is surgically analyzing every single comment Rush has from now on and compare it to his own unprosecuted felonies. The only wierd wildcard is when I hear Rush's brother David making these guest appearances on his show and talking breathlessly about how Rush will be back ... you get a slight hint of their desperation. I sense that Rush is really struggling with the gravity of the treatment and David is trying to pretty things up. Sadly, the complete 100% right-wing media will control the coverage of his return and applaud his humanity. Barf!
