De-freep this poll please
http://www.canada.com/national/?rnd=455

Should the world community put aside its differences over the war in Iraq and make efforts to help the U.S. pacify that country?

Currently - Yes 55, No 45

This is Southam Publishing's webpage, the major right-wing Canadian press corporation. By DUing this poll, you can sow seeds of doubt in the minds of many pro-bush Canucks (yes, there are some). Thank you for this public service.

3. I'm torn on this
because it would be better for the Iraqi people for calm to come to their country, right? So everyone should just screw the Iraqi people to get Bush? It doesn't seem right. I'm not saying everyone needs to bow down to Bush, but if he's going to try to get us out, and turn over the country to the Iraqis, even to the point of removing his handpicked gov't, then good because that's what needs to be done.

4. I am also torn. I won't be answering this one. It takes some thought.

5. This is a misleading poll (not surprising, given Southam's political...
bent). Canadians would help with peacekeeping in Iraq if the UN was in charge, they will not help bail Georgie out so he can wage war elsewhere.

6. Yep. Those folks up there have fair points,
Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 09:57 AM by Screaming Lord Byron
but George made his mess, and has to take the consequences. No bail out. It's a skewed question. What they're really saying is, shouldn't you all shut up and get behind Georgie.

7. I see it the same way
To bail Bush out now would only encourage him (and his mis-administration). I am so sorry for the Iraqi citizens, but Bush has learned nothing. Only a multi-national UN peacekeeping mission stands a chance of restoring order.

8. Agreed.
And the poll currently stands at 54% yes, 46% no.
