Yesterday's letters to the editor. Note that the only
letter of support for Bush comes from inside the administration.

Feel free to post links to your letters to the editor. Maybe it will give us some ideas.

1. That's very interesting! There was a letter to the editor to a Florida...
newspaper from Gonzales, Bush's legal mouthpiece, too. It strikes me as desperate when the admin has to write it's OWN letters of support.

(There was a thread yesterday re the letter in the Florida paper)

2. The one about "for the people" reminds me of a letter Buzzflash posted
among this batch in "Stars and Stripes:"

Iraq policy hurts retention

President Bush’s campaign pledge to our armed forces was “Help is on the way.” Too bad he didn’t say in what year.

3. That's right, he never said when the help would arrive. N/T
Another vet on my mailing list has turned against Bush. Only two left to turn.

4. This section from Stripes was similar to the letter you'd posted....
<snip>

I’d like to see a Stripes survey of oil giant Halliburton’s morale. Halliburton, Vice President Cheney’s personal quid pro quo to himself and campaign contributors, as well as a participant in Bush’s “Leave No Millionaire Behind” corporate welfare program, has won no-bid contracts worth more than $2 billion from the U.S. occupation of Iraq.

7. Great, nice to see another person who doesn't trust the word of the
smirking chimp.

5. It's called
tooting your own horn. I also like the one about Impeach Bush at the Kentucky site.

6. I always hate my letters. The fact that the paper prints
letters critical of Bush is a victory. I liked the "for the people" letter.

Maybe sticking words like dictator, and police state to Bush is a good idea. He did say his job would be a lot easier if he was the dictator.
