The Telemarketing Bug Man From Sugarland
<http://www.msnbc.com/news/991699.asp>

I can attest to this first-hand. I run a small consulting company (OK, it's me, my webserver, and two workstations!) on the side dealing in risk and security consulting. About a year ago I received a phone call from Tom DeLay's office EXACTLY like the one mentioned in this MSNBC article.

At the time I didn't think twice about it because it's Tom DeLay...I mean the guy is just an evil little scumbag, and that's doing a disservice to scumbags to call him that!

I am so happy to see this get out and be reported in the national news. Off the Kuff also has some more great stuff, like how Michael Moore sent legitimate checks to the Buchanan and Perot campaigns in the name of organizations like Satanists for Dole and Pedophiles for Free Trade, checks that were eagerly cashed and in the case of Pedophiles for Free Trade, acknowledged with a thank-you letter.

4. Wait a Second!
You can just call up people and ask them for money if you are a politician? Another perk! I am definately getting into politics now.

5. Positively sickening
Has this man no scruples at all???

Geez, I remember growing up in Houston he was our Represenative. My late father (may he rest in peace) hated DeLay with a passion. Used to tear up his constant newletters and ramblings sent to everyone in his district. My entire family never voted for him - ever - and I am so ashamed to say that I lived in that district most of my life and that friends still living there are still voting this slimeball into office.

We can only imagine what this would generate had it been a Dem doing this kind of "fund raising".
