Ex-Cheif Justice Roy Moore: The Poster Boy of Extreme Right Ideologs
Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 04:18 PM by Homer12
Roy Moore is a perfect example on why the democrats are filibustering extreme right-wing canidates for federal judgeships.

Roy Moore systematicaly and knowingly broke-the-law, by putting his religious agenda above that of the Constitution that states that their is a Seperation between Church and State.

One must think that right-wing ideologs and zeolats are empowered by the Bush Administration whom repeatedly stomp on the constitution(relgious groups getting federal money).

Roy Moore should be held up as an example by the Democrats in the Senate.

Roy Moore's should be used to show WHY extreme ideologs have no place in teh Judical system.

The will Republicans Whine, and say it's unfair, but they started Whinefest 2004, let them "eat the proof" that the Democrats are doing their constitional duty to uphold the integrity of the 3 branched government.

We should e-mail are senators and tell them to use Moore as an example that ideologs will put the constitution second, behined their agenda.

1. And don't forget
He not only defied the constitution, he defied a federal court order to remove the monument AND has stated he believes his religious beliefs have the force of law through his office.

2. Have any Democratic Senators used him as an example yet?

3. Actually
The reason he's so scary is because the Constitution does not state there is a separation between church and state.

It's an interpretation, which is what the federal judges do.

4. Good point - but Roy Moore is more like Huey Long
A demagogue unto his own self. I bet Karl Rove wants nothing to do with this loose cannon, unless he can use him for his own ends. Believe me, the corporatists surrounding Bush/Cheney know this guy is off on his own; he may toe the party line, but they are cautious. I bet they won't expend one iota of effort on his behalf. They want loyal Storm Troopers. Moore will be dismissed by Rove; how they can use his issue will be what they huddle about.
