O'Reilly ponders run for president
http://www.ajc.com/business/content/business/cnn/1103/13oreilly.html

Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly said he may take a look at running for president, according to a story in Newsday.

He told the newspaper: "Certainly the option is open if I want it," but "the country's not interested in an independent candidacy. Maybe in 10 years they will be, but right now, you have 50 percent of Americans who don't know anything -- they're totally disengaged from the process, the 'Mall People.' ...The other 50 percent -- and there was a recent poll on this -- are a third crazy left and third crazy right and third in the middle. So the pie you're going for is a very narrow pie."

O'Reilly said he wouldn't run unless he thought he could win, according to Newsday.

"I'm not a vanity player, I'm not gonna go out like Al Sharpton, to get on 'Saturday Night Live' to run for president, so unless I'm convinced I could pull it off, I wouldn't do it," he said.

2. You know, sometimes I like O'Reilly.
Every now and then, he has a point or two with which I agree. I think he'd even be fun to have a jack and coke with during Happy Hour.

However, his ego must be MONSTROUS. Al Franken for Senator, so O'Reilly, as I live and breathe, for President. Fetch me another pitcher of green beer, please.

On the upshot, he couldn't possibly be worse than Shrubbie.

4. Yeah sometimes I like him too
When he's getting his ass kicked by a caller and the vein comes out on his forehead, he's *very* entertaining.

I've noticed that too. I liked the Fresh Air debate, too. I think Terry Gross could have nailed him a little better, though..:)

12. Oh yes, I heard that too
He was actually making a few points and then from nowhere came his tantrum. I'd love for him to run for prez. If he doesn't get completely softball questions, the resulting explosions ought to be wildly entertaining.

5. Funniest thing I heard all day!
Yesterday, it was Letterman saying

"A Texas jury aquitted a man who admitted killing an elderly man and chopping his body into seven pieces.

"Even OJ was outraged."

I thought that one of the big complaints against Dean is that he is sometimes brusque and loses his temper too easily. Ever seen O'Reilly's show?

10. O'Reilly Candidacy: A Republican Face-Saver?
I don't know how soon Bill O'Reilly would have to file to run as an independent candidate for President, but I suspect that his 2004 candidacy would be a great face-saver for Dubya this autumn. After all, it would be far more humiliating to admit losing to a Democratic candidate than supposedly losing because an O'Reilly candidacy supposedly drew away conservative votes.

I kinda' hope O'Reilly does run. It would be entertaining to see the Republicans savage him and whether O'Reilly would have to admit that he, too, had been playing fast and loose with the facts when he backed Dubya in 2000.

15. I'm wondering...
If he'd go up against Chuck Schumer in '04 for the Senate. I can't see him running for an office that he would have the possibility of losing. His ego couldn't withstand it...

I would love it if he ran for anything... could you imagine him flipping his lid...

Cable bill to get FOXNews $95.00
Potato Chips to throw at TV $1.99
Watching O'Reilly lose it in a debate Priceless
