The Third Anniversary of a National Travesty: December 12, 2003
falls on a Friday. Could be an interesting day for a general strike and day of national mourning, to commemorate the death of American democracy.

1. Death of democracy? Wouldn't go that far
I have to see it as more of an unfortunate sidestep

3. More like pining for the fjords....
...but seriously.

Historians a century from now will point to 12/12/2000 as a far greater blow to this country than 9/11/2001.

5. I completely agree, Davis
In fact, I think the recognition of that exists around the world...everywhere but in the Propagandized Imperial Subjects of Amerika.

7. in december VERY close to christmas i think
i think the morons delayed their return home for the winter holidays so they could do the impeachment. remember, this was AFTER they had lost seats in congress after expecting to pick up 50+ seats there just because clinton got a blow job. remember that, they thought they deserved to win seats just because clinton got a blow job and that's what their campaign was all about. but they ended up actually losing seats. so the lame duck congress had to hurry up with the impeachment since they had lost seats and most likely could not rely on the next congressional session to pass impeachment.
