Anyone know what's going on in LA. Does it look like
another loss for the Dems in a southern state? Does it
really matter?

1. As far as donations for Dems vs. Repubs, they're dead even
Take a look at the money map.

If you look at it by state rather than county, it's white -- even for Republican and Democratic campaign donations.

2. Polls show it very close. While I do hold out hope that Blanco will win,
she has had less than stellar performances in the televised debates.
