Poll question: Best Democratic Governor
As a party, we have a lot of good Democratic governors, so this will be a difficult task (hopefully on Saturday Kathleen Blanco will be joining there fold). Get out the vote Louisiana!

Man, I wish she could run for president!

6. Let's amend the Constitution!
It's not like she may NEVER, ever, ever run!

Let's put some pressure on our lawmakers! Granted, we'd need 290 Representatives, 67 Senators, and 38 states to agree with us, but it couldn't hurt to try!

2. Hot Chick Jennifer Granholm
She's been holding forums asking people for input about how to get rid of the budget deficit of $900 million+ (about $90/person).

She actually listens to the voters. Kinda scary thought, huh?

4. I am so impressed with her
We did have a lot of good new governors in 2002 (Granholm, along with Rendell, Henry, and others)

8. Granholm
She is like a rock star in Michigan. She has the rethugs crying every day to no effect. If you haven't heard this gal give a speach, you are missing something great. She is currently going around the state holding forums to explain and listen to the people on budget cuts that must be made. The rethugs are going nuts, calling it polital. She responded, hold your own forums, it would do you good to hear from real folks who work for a living. So far no rethug forums. lol To bad both houses in Michigan are now controlled by rethugs. She is trying to follow the Engler mess which had used every budget scam there was. All rainy day funds used up. She is a winner folks, but she has a hard way to go. If I could I would change the constution to let her run for President. If you have lived in this country almost all your life, I think you are an American.

13. Granholm would mop the floor with Arnold
Plus, I seriously doubt Arnold could ever get the nomination for the Republicans. I'm almost positive that Granholm could eventually be nominated by the Dems.

22. "If you have lived in this country almost all your life,

You are very much in the minority at DU. A recent poll showed that the overwhelming sentiment at DU (77%)is that naturalized citizens should not be allowed to run for President, regardless of how long they've been here:

However, I agree with you wholeheartedly (having lived in this country most of my life) and, as a naturalized citizen, appreciate your feelings on the subject.

25. Left Field
Yes, I voted my feelings on that one. I have been out in left field all along before. You know what, sometimes left field gets full, after a period of time. Governer Granholm is a great American. It is a shame, and not just for her, as there many like her. By the way, thanks for joining me in left field. It is not so longly now.;)

9. There is this website
that is totally devoted to getting rid of Granholm

http://www.stopgranholm.com/dissent/granholm5.htm

I am thinking they might want to start up a recall. Wasn't there a recall movement against Englert but somehow all of Detroit's signatures become invalidated?

12. All I know is that I wish Rendell would stop doing that sports talk show
It looks bad, it's inappropriate, and if he ever wants to run for Emperor of Amerika it will provide the Bushevik Character Assassins with reams of ammo to use against him.

(as if a Governor doing that show when he should be working for the people of PA isn't ammo enough...)

14. Minner - but we have some other very good ones
Ruth Ann has done an amazing job balancing the state budget, without layoffs or severe hits on services. I'm not real happy about her anti-smoking crusade (but as a result, I've quit - did not want to pay the tax increase)

Bill Richardson has also done an outstanding job in New Mexico.

Just goes to show that Democrats can be good economic stewards in bad times as well as good.
