You really have to wonder just how stupid Republicans think most Americans are. I'm assuming they believe us to be really, really stupid. They must believe that none of us will remember the political landscape during the Clinton presidency.
Bush has had 168 of his judicial nominations confirmed, but the Republicans really, really wanted four more, and what followed was a 40-hour publicity stunt.
Republicans, for some odd reason, cannot remember anything that happened in the 1990s. I say this because, in 1999, the Senate was going through this very same problem, with Republicans blocking Clinton judicial nominations.
