This solution will kill the abortion issue once and for all:
People who want abortions illegal, et cetera, should adopt or take part in an active solution, rather than putting up bumper stickers and other arrogant lip service to a topic they'd otherwise not give a fuck about.

1. Remember the true motive for republicans:
it is to make sure people have children so that they may stay destitute and have less resources so that the republicans have more to hoard.

3. Interesting theory
Up to now I'd assumed that it came from the Puritan idea that no one should be allowed to enjoy sex without paying for it, one way or another, i.e. marriage is a form of payment, being forced to keep (if possible), or at least deliver, children is another, but the bottom line is that sex should not be freely given or enjoyed without at least risking having to pay in denominations of freedom, pain, or money (hence they're against contraception as well).

10. Bushco had actually
had a lot to do with starting up Planned Parenthood. It was originally devised to lower the population of blacks. However it worked so well with whites that it backfired.

7. kids increase consumption
Parents burn through cash like no tomorrow... economic stimulation puke style. It takes a certain amount of cash to keep one's family alive every month, and this churn is higher with kids certainly. Your income has to exceed a certain level before there is any discretionary cash to spend. The whole idea of welfare to an economist, is cash to prime the economic pump, as it is burned instantly in consumption, and this creates jobs.

The same theory can be reversed to form a sophistocated economic stimulus, or a primitive one... leave it to the repuke neanderthals to keep things primitive.

15. It all comes down to cheap labor
Cheap labor republicans. You can boil all their policies down to that on point.

2. To The Anti-Choice Crowd, It's All About Male Control of Women
It's no surprise that it was all men that surrounded Bush when he signed the so-called ban partial birth abortion. To these men, a woman's body is ultimately their domain to do with what they wish. To them, women have no right to deny a man from using their body as a reproductive machine.

They don't care about life. They don't care about children. They don't care about anything except their view that the world should be male dominated.

4. Opiate for the masses
is all the abortion debate is about. People get so worked up over the subject of abortion that they don't look past it at the people who are pushing the debate.

5. There is a new
scientific way that will take away the issue of abortion in 30 years. Even a GAY guy will be able to have a baby :-)

I mean, he won't give birth, but...well it's complicated.

I forgot the technique though.

try reading the upper right hand corner of the posts to which you respond. Mine said original post. That means the post which starts the thread. You owe me an apology.

9. I still don't think men should be able
to pass laws on this as they don't have a uterus. As far as I am concerned with the law just signed by Bush is that it is invalid because Bush doesn't have a uterus and until we get someone with a uterus in the Presidency, they should not be able to pass any legislation about anything that goes on in a uterus.

14. agreed, abortion issues should be a womens-only vote
Men have no right to legislate a womans body... it stinks of centuries ago when a woman belonged to her husband like a cow. They are mysogynists pure and simple.

about the welfare of children..... she said she had her own children to care for...I told her that perhaps she should keep her mouth shut about other people's choices then....

20. I thought the anti-choice crowd first picked up steam
when they hit their thirties and couldn't make babies after doing all those hard drugs in their twenties and there weren't enough white babies to adopt.

Cynical, huh? But I've been wrong about these things before.
