The tendency of the junta to create its own fantasy world is trully frightening.

6. I think he/she's agreeing with you
that was a fantastic, chilling piece, BTW.

at the end, it pretty much explains that uberwhore Matthews' Sbyil-like about face on the war:

As for Dorrance Smith, he said he had success with CNBC’s Chris Matthews and CNN vice president and chief news executive Eason Jordan selling "the real story of Iraq." Mr. Jordan "came over and met with Ambassador Bremer and was going to take a second look at the way they’re doing the story. It required a second look," he said. He also said that he had spent most of his time in Baghdad so far trying to convince networks and cable news outlets to change their approach toward the coverage.

"The net effect of this self-scrutiny," he said, "is they’ve changed their approach to how they’re doing the story." Then he added, "I’d like to see more."

CNN's chief news exec, and Chris Matthews, fed by his servile little Bush doggy Bob Arnot, are doing everything they can to pump up the sweet side of things.

Pretty funny, though, how ABC's good news week (Nov 2-7, or whatever)
was drowned out by the bomb blasts and SAM shots of the resistance-cum-insurgents-cum terrorists.
