On the CBS news tonight, it showed Bush losing to an no name Democrat by three or four points. I think he had 43% of the vote.

5. What's with the last parts of that poll??? |
|
First, the Dem wins, and then, :wtf:, in some other "poll" conducted on the same dates by CBS, * is ahead?? Just what does corporate whore CBS mean anyway? Looks like they are desperately trying to appease His Lowness by "revising" the negative news.

6. CBS - Bush 41%, Democrat 43% |
|
Most interesting is the decline; if * went up 5 points, they'd be crying it from the rooftops. He went down 5 points Bush 10/2003 46% Now 41% Democrat 10/2003 34% (This number is odd when compared with September) Now 43% http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/11/14/opinion/polls/main583828.shtml

8. Yes, but few people have any idea who the Dems are at this point. |
|
There was a recent poll quoted today by Bill Press that said something like only one out of seven people could name even ONE of the Dem hopefuls. What this poll says to me is "I want bush gone...but I don't know that guy who you just named (ie: I know who bush is), so I can't support him at this time."
Once the dems pick ONE person, I think bush will do even worse because he'll be the target of one guy and one party. Right now, there's a lot of attack energy being used up between the Dems. That will change.

7. I really dont pay attention to polls this far out, |
|
they mean very little. While it is good that bush's numbers are eroding, never forget that at this point in 1983 both Mondale and Glenn were leading Reagan by about 50-42.
