MSNBC has been on a troubling "positive media" approach all week. Look
for the same thing to happen to this war, media-wise, as happened in Vietman. The truth is going to become more and more scarce in the coming months. Which means that every Democratic vote is precious. This next week, when we re-visit President Kennedy's assassination, we must pledge our commitment anew and close the ranks.

the worse the international scene becomes, the more fluff will fill the airwaves. this is either the beginning of a horrific chapter on this planet or we can "REMOVE THIS DISEASED TUMOR FROM OUR LIVES."

3. NBC has become about as conservative ...
... as Fox, there are just more subtle about it and therefore more dangerous. I bet Russert rakes Clark over the coals this weekend to satisfy his repuke buddies.

4. I'm betting that Clark will still out-fox him.
He seems to do really, really well when he's under heavy questioning. Wasn't he captain of the debate team in college? I forget.

6. Rebuilding something you blew up yourself isn't news
We shouldn't have blown up the goddamned country in the first place.

Soldiers who shouldn't have been in Iraq in the first place being killed is news.

7. It's going to be interesting to see
if there's any reaction whatsoever to the 40th anniversary of JFK's death by the White House (unlikely--or is it?). Will the Repubs try to draw comparisons between the Cuban missile crisis and terrorism?
