3. Which Side Are You On?
Which Side are you on?
Are you for the Union
And the Democrats
Or take the scabby side
Of the GOP plutocrats?

(to the tune of "Which Side Are You On?", an old union rallying song.)

2. Here's a stat for your back pocket:
"In 93 percent of the cases, the Agriculture Department agency found it was cheaper for government employees to do the work."

4. there's something wrong with the logic
that you can add a layer of management and come out ahead. There is supposed to be competition and all that, but bottom line is somebody has to be paid less for doing the same job, and somebody else gets paid just for being a middleman.

7. Nope.
I work for a firm that outsources jobs. Yes, I know... but my husband lost his job and it was the job I found.

Anyway my boss said yesterday that SO many firms had outsourced to India that there is a shortage of qualified labor. People who can speak English have the choice of five or more jobs.

By next year, he said jobs will be coming back here. There just aren't enough qualified people in other countries.

So we better start getting other messages, because once people are 'fat and happy' again, getting and holding their attention will be even harder.
